Voltage Sensing Split Charge Relay 12V / 30Amp

Self switching split charge relay is used for charging a second battery from your main vehicle (crank) battery. This relay is voltage sensing in that it monitors the main battery voltage and monitors the second battery voltage and only switches the charge to the secondary battery on when required, so no over charging can take place and also ensures that the main battery charge is maintained and wont leave you with a flat. The relay also boasts thermal cut-off ability which auto resets, so no over heating of the relay is possible and auto voltage adjustment.

Safety First!

The most important part of a circuit is the FUSE! So make sure you install fuses with this relay. We supply 2 auto fuse holders & 2 auto fuses with the kit variation. Why? Double the protection! The 1st fuse point is installed a few inches away from the main battery positive and the second fuse point is installed a few inches away from the leisure battery positive. This give you double the protection in the event of a short circuit.

Example of use: If you install a second battery in your vehicle for running additional appliances and need it to be charged from your vehicles existing system. The relay kit is connected between the vehicles main battery (Positive) and the second battery (Positive). The relay controls the charge rate to the second battery to maintain a fully charged state.
